FAQs
FAQs
Q: My order is a gift for someone else. Do you offer gift wrap/gift card options?
A: Yes! If your order is a special gift for someone, we would love to wrap it to make it even more memorable. Don't forget to buy a card from the shop to include with your gift!
Q: How long will it take my order to ship?
A: Most orders are processed within 24 hours. However, please allow 2 business days for processing.
Q: Amazon ships in one day, why can't you?
A: As the sole owner/employee of my businesses, I do it all! There are no employees to rely on, so just as a precaution, please allow 2 days for processing.
Q: How do I track my order?
A: When your order is processed, you will receive an email notification with tracking information. You can go to the United States Postal Service (USPS), enter your tracking number and see where you package is in the process.
Q: USPS says my package was delivered, but I don’t have it.
A: PLEASE NOTE: We do not have control over USPS. But we have learned that in some cases, they will mark your package delivered, when in fact it wasn’t. Simply a guess on our part (because USPS has given no explanation), they “pre-post” or estimate package delivery with the intention of doing so, but it either didn’t make it on the delivery truck or the driver was at the end of shift and brought back remaining packages. In every instance of this situation with our customers (so far...), the package was delivered within the next two days.
Q: USPS says my package was delivered, but I don’t have it, even though I waited an extra two days.
A: PLEASE NOTE: We do not have control over USPS. Before contacting USPS, double-check your porch and mailbox, as well as with your neighbors, in case of mis-delivery. Also, if you live in an apartment complex, check with your property manager/super to see if it was delivered to the office, instead of your apartment.
If you’ve followed these steps and still have not received your package, please file a claim with the USPS.
Q: Do you offer free shipping?
A: All orders over $100 automatically get free shipping! I will occasionally offer free shipping days to those on my email list.
Q: I read the Returns and Exchanges policy – why am I responsible for paying for returns?
A: Unfortunately, returns are a part of doing business online. Large companies have the resources to absorb the costs for returns; most small businesses, like us, do not. By keeping this policy in place, it allows serious shoppers to shop, while keeping those who like to chronically buy/return, at bay. If, however, you purchase an item and are sent the wrong item or size, Pineapples and Palm Trees will definitely pay for the return!
Q: Is my order insured?
A: Orders sent via Priority Mail are automatically insured thru the USPS for up to $50. First class mail does not automatically qualify for insurance. If you feel your order needs to be insured, please let me know, as it is not routinely added. All claims should be handled thru the USPS.
